This is more practice with light/shadow and values. I've been practicing a lot, and I hope it shows. I borrowed some costume elements from Mike Mignola's "Gotham by Gaslight" trades; namely the gloves and the pants. I never quite dug heroes wearing underwear over their tights, and if you a terror of the night who strikes fear into evil doers, you don't want to show up with underwear on.

I think you did a good job with the values. It has a good feel of clothing to me.
The vehicle, can't make out, wich one it might be, looks okay too, the tubes on the upper right are simple yet neat placed.

I understand you issue with the underwear but he now looks more like he sewed it himself in the garage of his parents. Or like the medival one in this one cartoon episode, wich i liked.
Yes, he looks more real and like he old classic series, in black and white. Not so hightech. Good. Escpecially the brown makes it look so strange to me.

I am eager to see more.

Thanks for the input, Max. I might revisit Batman in the future, and I might do the "somewhat longish" briefs that look more like shorts than speedos.

Very interesting rendition of an interesting character...interesting due to his introduction being a result of the popularity of Superman, after which sales of Detective Comics have suffered significently, or at least that's what I read in one of those "Golden Age of Comics" books.

^^; What I meant to say was that the popularity of Superman had hurt sales of Detective Comics prior to the introduction of BatMan.^^;
