I think this might be my last piece in my costumed superhero run for a while. I'm still working on Montoya; having lots of trouble finding the right proportions for an action shot, but I'll get her right.
Anyway, I was never a huge Spiderman fan despite the fact I read a lot of his old trades when I was younger. He always had these cornball villains like Mysterio here, but the thing about Spiderman villains is that most of them would stoop to going after Peter's loved ones just to get to him; in a way, these villains can be pretty scary. You might say that all comic villains would stoop so low, but the worst case scenario repeatedly happened to Peter Parker - - moreso than most heroes, I would venture. Even though I'm no huge fan of Spiderman, I have to say, without a doubt, he is the best Marvel hero.
When I was drawing this, I kept saying "Spiderman" and "Mysterio" to myself in Stan Lee's voice. Shpiedah-man.
I like the sequins (scales? I don't know) on his suit, and I like that you proportioned him more like how a muscular human being could actually look, as opposed to the more common American comics philosophy of "muscles on top of more muscles!" Though I personally like when his head is more globe-shaped myself.
